Inexpensive "off beat bride" dress and Wedding issues...?

My friend who had lots of tattoos wore a pink halter style wedding dress and it suited her perfectly. I dont know how much you plan to spend, but Anthropolgie has cute, vintagey dresses online. Shopping locally or online may be the way to go, or a thrift store and getting good alterations to basically get a custom dress. As for Mom, I think you tell her of course you are excited and happy for her, but your time is limited with your own wedding so you will help as much as possible. You could also give her a start date of when you will have time to help her plan. "My schedule will free up a lot after _________" I would suggest you consider doing one, not both. Either be a bridesmaid OR plan the wedding. Doing both while planning your own may be too much.
