Is using a double boiler for cooking marijuana fro 10 minutes good?

i did not have much time and used a double boiler which is one pan filled with water and another pan floating on the water with marijuana in it. i used a thermomiter and it said the marijuana contraption which was 1/8th of weed with olive oil covering it making it into a soupy residue. i let it cook for 10 minutes then took it of my question is was that long enough for the thc to transfer to the olive oil
