Isit neccessary to have fine adjustment in a microscope?

It depends on what you plan to use it for. I spend an average of an hour a day at my microscope, examining insects, but rarely use the fine adjustment. If the cost is significantly greater I'd not bother. However, if you are going to be looking at something like mosses then the fine adjustment would be very useful.
