Is Palin the worst VP pick since William Jennings Bryan choose Arthur Sewell in 1896?

Amazing historical reference. Obscure, but amazing. It's hard to say how much Palin is now hurting McCain with independents. It's more an impression people have of the overall campaign strategy. The Republicans are tapped out on ideas, and they're grasping.
