???/why did NASA end?

NASA hasn't been closed down. It's still up and running. There is no news of this happening. However, I think it's the shuttle Atlantis' last mission. Not sure, but that may be what you've read. Some programs within NASA are changing or ending, but the agency itself is still funded and running.
