What happens with a contested petition for legal separation in Missouri?

My wife filed for a divorce 2 months ago. I am not okay with the divorce. I have also not been served yet. I want to file for a legal separation. What will happen if she does not want the legal separation? I realize she will get her divorce in time? I am not willing to sign the divorce papers as well. I cannot break the covenant that we made to each other and before God. What will happen if I do not sign the papers? Will I lose everything, if so, I'm fine with it. I can live knowing I did all I can do to save our marriage. God will have to do the rest.
