Baby showers and pacifiers!!?

i have told everybody that i dont want to use a pacifier, and i keep getting those "oh youll change you mind" comments , i already understand that it will be tempting and the baby will be difficult but i care more about my babies health then about my own comfort, how do i tell these people(icluding my own mother) to shut up and let me do it the way i want!!!
